Sarah Longfellow HFA Fhp
Sarah is a Foot Health Practitioner (FHP) providing professional foot care in Wetherby and the surrounding areas. She is passionate about helping people feel comfortable, confident and happy on their feet through friendly, personalised care in the comfort of their own home.
Sarah provides mobile foot care in Wetherby and across the postcode areas of LS22, LS23, LS24, LS25, LS26 and WF10.
She combines a strong academic background in foot health with several years of practical clinical experience. Sarah holds a Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) in Podiatric Medicine/Applied Science, achieved to First-Class standard, as well as the Royal College of Podiatry (RCPod) Foot Care Certificate and a Foot Health Practitioner Theory Certificate from the Centre of Excellence.
Before becoming a Foot Health Practitioner, Sarah spent three years training and working as a Podiatry Apprentice within the NHS. During this time, she gained extensive hands-on experience working alongside podiatry professionals and supporting patients with a wide range of foot health needs. She has also worked within a private foot health practice, giving her valuable experience across both NHS and independent foot care settings.
Sarah has completed a Diabetic Foot Health Screening course accredited by the Universities of Edinburgh and Plymouth, providing additional training in diabetic foot screening, assessment and ongoing foot care.
She has a particular interest in biomechanics and how the way we walk, together with the function of our feet, can affect comfort, balance and mobility. Sarah is committed to continuing her professional development and has attended several Royal College of Podiatry conferences to further develop her knowledge across different areas of foot health.
Sarah is also a Dementia Friend and is committed to providing patient, understanding and compassionate care to people living with dementia. She holds a current Enhanced DBS check and prides herself on being friendly, approachable and professional.
She understands that inviting someone into your home to provide mobile foot care requires trust. Her aim is to make every client feel comfortable, listened to and completely at ease throughout their appointment.
