Carolynne covers the Cardiff City Council District including Llandaff, St Mellons, Rhiwbina, Whitchurch, Radyr, and Morganstown.
Carolynne joins Healthy Feet Mobile Clinic after training through our Healthy Feet Academy, where she gained a Level 4 Diploma, accredited by the Institute of Training and Occupational Learning. She has also completed a Diabetic Foot Health Screening course, accredited by the Universities of Edinburgh and Plymouth, and is qualified to treat diabetic patients, including providing neuropathy testing.
Carolynne discovered the need and appeal of becoming a home visiting foot health practitioner whilst being a carer in the community – working in and around Cardiff. She became an employed carer just over 7 years ago, a journey which first started when she had cared for a family member. She has a gained first hand experience of looking after patients in their homes and knows how social interaction and prioritising comfort can make a real difference. She has a lot of experience in looking after those with dementia and like all of our team – has become a Dementia Friend.
Carolynne is also an animal lover, she has a cat and a dog, and in her free time she loves to get outdoors for walks, gardening, and if time allows – a visit to the beach!
As with all our practitioners, Carolynne uses a vacuum autoclave to sterilise her foot care instruments at home, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and safety for your treatment.
